It started off with me travelling back from the work trip.  I do like the travel days for good food.

I however wasn’t happy to turn on my truck to find this…

Turns out something had nibbled on my knock sensor harness… Not a cheap fix.  I was a bit stressed out since We finally got back to having NM Trials events.  Which was  the weekend after I got back. I had the end of month stuff to take care of at work, along with catching up from being off site for a week. I was missing my dog….

Turns out that Sable and the skunk had ended their truce.  She got sprayed the night after I got back.  She wasn’t happy about the bath and I wasn’t happy about the house smelling like skunk.

The first one back after the closures was at Sipapu.  It’s always a hard one, but this year it was just downright brutal!  I was pretty battered from Saturday.  One of the sections had us crossing the river 7 times.  I didn’t go swimming or drown my bike so I was very happy, even though I had a rather high score for the day.  Sunday that didn’t get better.  On the first loop, I crashed and hurt my knee, the good one, through pads!  This was the second time that trials made me cry.  After getting it together, I decided to only ride the stuff I was comfortable with.  Then my bike on the second loop decided to stop running.  I managed to get it down the hill if it had been up hill I’d have been dead.  Once down to the bottom I found Mal had decided to DNF the rest of the day.   So I borrowed his bike to finish my day.  I was still only riding what I was comfortable with.  I got back to the section I’d gotten hurt on and crashed again….  This time I smashed my fingers on the left hand.  The pinky ripped part of the nail off, the ring finger had a gash in the first knuckle, the middle finger second knuckle was smashed and purple really quick, lastly the thumb top knuckle was also purple and slightly deformed.  Weeks later they all still hurt, but I finished!!!!  So I still have my iron man status.

I spent the next couple of weekends helping Jessica with the Glorietta sections, for the October event.  It was loads of fun, it made it sadder that I didn’t get the house next to them.  I still hope the deal falls through…  not nice I know, but I really wanted to leave up there.
