Held at the Webb\u2019s property in Glorietta. It is a great place!!! I\u2019d love to have property up there. I don\u2019t suppose that someone would like to buy the place next door to them for me. Darn!! I didn\u2019t think so. Doesn\u2019t hurt to ask, right? I\u2019ve been thinking about it a great deal. The main issue is that I don\u2019t want to sell my current house to make it work. Once it\u2019s paid off, I could totally make it work. Just look at this view!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Saturday we worked with Chuck and Bruce on how to develop some better skills. I managed to ride a couple of large rocks that gave me issues the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Spending the weekend up at the webb\u2019s was a blast. We had dinner together each night, a potluck on Sunday afternoon, once the gate trial was over. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The loop was 3 miles, riding it 2x was really tiring. Some of the novices dnf\u2019d I don\u2019t blame them. I thought about it toward the end of the second loop. It didn\u2019t help that we kept getting off the trail, had to back track a few times, or had to wait forever for the others in our group to show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Not to mention there was a safe version of fireworks on the 4th of July with glow sticks being shot into the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The other highlight for the month was the Old 97s concert at the Bridge with Katrin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Since it\u2019s so stinkin\u2019 hot for most of the day. I did more baking and cooking this month. I know it seems wrong, but it\u2019s the joy of having AC in the house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0I have so many herbs in the garden, I needed to come up with more ways to use them.\u00a0 Besides drying them for use in the winter.\u00a0 \u00a0I decided to work on getting my focaccia technique down.\u00a0 Along with trying some things I hadn\u2019t tried before or in a long time.\u00a0 Like making gnocchi, or tzatziki sauce, grilling whole chickens on the BBQ grill outside, or even just making burgers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I had forgotten that ricotta cheese gnocchi was so easy especially if you don\u2019t roll it out and just drop it in the water by the spoonful.
