It was back to Inde this month for Take It 2 The Track\u00a0 Trackdays, at Inde.\u00a0 I really wish that I lived closer.\u00a0 It’s quite the drive for me from Santa Fe.\u00a0 The drive out was smooth and without issues.\u00a0 I will be really happy once they finish what ever it is that they are going to do with that road heading out there.\u00a0 It is the one true down side to the location right now. \u00a0\u00a0It wasn\u2019t bad until like the last mile, then its just bumper then I would like.\u00a0 I kinda expected to get there and find Aaron\u2019s bike laying on mine.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t, it actually didn\u2019t move at all.\u00a0 We dropped the trailer, there and talked to a couple of guys that were camping out, and then headed back into town to find some food and the hotel.<\/p>\n
So as Control Riders we had to be there at the crack of dawn, it\u2019s just wrong to have to get up and be on the road before the sun is up.\u00a0 I have to say that for the first time at a new location everything went off really well and the fact that we started only a few minutes late was amazing, no worries though the first group got to make it up at the end of the day.\u00a0 The whole day ran on time, from there on out.\u00a0 It was really an awesome, no red flags and no serious injuries for the whole weekend.\u00a0 \u00a0The only time the track stopped was for the planned 15 minute break when they went out and picked up the bikes that had gone down.<\/p>\n\n
Well, I was really hunger for track time so I made a point to ride with every C and B sessions and then did a few A sessions as well.\u00a0 It was a blast watching some of the riders really improve through out the day.\u00a0 I just love it when they come back in grinning after ya work with them.\u00a0 I just needed to get more comfortable with that bike.\u00a0 I can say that after riding something like 430+ miles over the weekend that I\u2019m finally there.<\/p>\n
It was cool and inspiring to watch Chris Peris blow on by me like I was standing still\u2026 and doing it on one wheel, as he powered it past me.\u00a0 I just wish that I could have seen more then just one corner each time.\u00a0 Very different lines than the rest of us, then again, we just ain\u2019t that talented.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m hoping that I\u2019ll get to the video that I took this week and see how much of it is useable.\u00a0 I\u2019m afraid that helmet cam was to far forward and didn\u2019t get as much as I would have liked it to.\u00a0 I know the one the back of the bike worked.\u00a0 We\u2019ll see what I end up with.<\/p>\n
Now I have to ask myself if I really want to race SMRI this year or do I want to head over there for more weekends\u2026.. hum\u2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
