What a crazy few weeks!<\/p>\n
I picked up the new trailer, moved things around, now can’t find anything, \u00a0worked on cleaning up the trailer, \u00a0headed out of town to SLC to race at Miller and now I have another race at Sandia! \u00a0No time to catch my breath or get caught up on the small errands or chores.<\/p>\n
I like and dislike race day only wknds. \u00a0It’s nice to be able to get things done on Sat, but it’s kind of a waste for driving down for only one day. \u00a0I’m be more sensitive to that with the new trailer since my truck now gets horrible mileage towing it. \u00a0On the other hand it beats driving back to SF at the end of the combo wknds and wasting hours driving (..and gas) back and forth.<\/p>\n
For some reason, I do better in the mornings than I do in the afternoon (um, the heat, might be it). \u00a0The new leathers are so much hotter to wear then the others were. \u00a0 \u00a0I managed to have another great race in Thunderbike. \u00a0It’s one of those classes I like it’s at the right time of day for me. \u00a0Finishing 3rd was great, I was really pleased with my ULGP race, I only finished 7th, but I was pleased with my lap times and the way I rode.<\/p>\n
After Miller something seemed to click for me. \u00a0I was more comfortable on the bike, my neck wasn’t bothering me so much. \u00a0To say that it doesn’t hurt would be an out right lie, but it’s finally getting to the point where I can run the entire race without my arm going numb or getting the headache from hell. \u00a0 \u00a0I likely pushed too much this day since at the end of the day as I was loading up I all of a sudden got sick to my stomach. \u00a0It’s nice to have the trailer that way I didn’t have to throw up in a trash can in front of everyone. \u00a0I’m sure it was just the having such a crazy few weeks catching up with me.<\/p>\n
The drive home \u00a0was a tough one since I felt so horrible. \u00a0This is what prompted me to figure out how to park this monster at home. \u00a0It takes some finesse but over all it’s less effort then leave it at Robin’s place. \u00a0This way I don’t need to worry as much about it getting infested with mice.<\/p>\n
