I’ve been working more with Sable to get her ready for our road trip on the bike. However, in looking more carefully, I’ve decided to shorten the trip up and push it back a few weeks. She’s doing great, I just don’t think she is ready for a trip where I might drop the bike with her on it when trying to navigate tricky/rocky passes.
She did great doing a day on the bike, of course, why wouldn’t she, breakfast, the dog park and a horse show are all great dog locations for her to get the attention she loves.
I’ve got a couple of friends that are going to watch her while I do the Brewsday Big Bike Adventure. Then she and I are going to head over to UT for the Flying Monkey Rally. I’m taking the toy hauler so she will have AC while I’m out on the bike. I’m taking both bikes with me so that she and I can do some exploring together on the trip in Sept.
At the end of the month she and I are heading to Silverton to do some more exploring. I haven’t gotten to ride in that area for over a year. I can’t wait. I’m sure she’ll love the attention.
I’ve got a great deal of vacation time that I need to use up before the end of the year or I’ll lose it. Since I can’t get the days off for the Baja Rally this year. I’m heading out for various other smaller trips around the state and surrounding states. I’ll just becoming back to the house between mini trips, to restock, do laundry and re organize. September is shaping up to be a motorcycle month for me. I’ll see how many miles I get on the two bikes.
