Each night there was a great group dinner, along with campfires.

There were also some games to play…

On the third day we all rode up to Jackson Hole, the intent was to hit the Grand Tetons

National Park, As we headed north to the park entrance the traffic and construction were just too much.  So in order to get back before it got dark, we all decided to skip the park.  It left us more time for lunch and some sightseeing in Jackson.

On the third day a group of us rode a dirt section of the UT BDR.  It was a rather nice forest road, just over 50 miles from start to the point of turn around.  I decided to take the husky out that day, since I was still feeling the headache from my face plant.  I had ridden the section on the Tiger last year, and knew it was a fun section.  I just wasn’t up to working that hard, even on easy dirt, 100 miles is a lot for a big bike.  Props, to the guys on the big bikes, who rode to the 50 mile point.  It was there that we split the group up.  Most of the big bikes when back on the road and the rest of us turned around to head back the way we came.  It was a quicker return trip, as the lil bikes were able to move along at a good pace.  The only drama for the day was my fuel line popping off on the way back.  Not sure why it did that, the last time the tank was off the bike was much earlier in the year.  Like around Feb.  this caused me to dump a fair amount of fuel.  I really didn’t have much to spare, since the bikes only got a 125 mile range.  Thanks to Adam, who spotted it and gave me some fuel so I could get back to camp. It was a very pretty section of road.

The last day I went out for a bit more stuff on the small bike, we were trying to find a cut over to some caves.  Most of the group took off on the pavement to do some more sightseeing, and we were going to all meet up at the cave.  We couldn’t find a short cut, but had a great deal of fun trying.  I ended up heading back to camp to get some work done.  Made for a nice relaxing day.

The next day we all packed up, I had originally planned to stay one more night, but figured getting home early was a good idea.  I headed back to SLC,  this time I opted out of riding some more single track with Mike.  ;-P

I took off and headed to Farmington so I could hang out with Brian.  I hadn’t see him or the family for quite some time.  It was good to see how much Jace has grown.  It made for a super short day of driving on Sunday.  It was nice to get home in the daylight hours and be able to unload and park the trailer.
