Although, I might not be receiving any awards this year, but I sure don’t want to miss out on the party.  This will be the first time since I started racing that I haven’t been in the top 3-5 in my classes.  Since I only got to race one wknd this past season, I guess it’s to be expected.

I’ve been cleared by the Doctor to start working out again.  So prep for the this season is started.  Unfortunately I started behind where I usually am this time of year.  6 months of not doing anything took a toll on me.  Lost strength, lost muscle tone, lost endurance, and I gained weight, just a loss all the way around.

So as soon as I got the okay I started back to light training and then once that went well the Doc let me go all out.  Great timing, I got that okay on the 30th of December.  So Jan 1 kicked of a 30 day challenge, exercising every day, Cardio 5x a week on top of that, walking for breaks at work, and eating clean (no processed foods, no alcohol, and no sugar).  I’d say it’s working I’m down 10lbs in 16 days, and I’m feeling great!  I’m already getting excited for race season to start.

Next up is to get the new leathers, new helmet and new gloves… crashing is expensive!  Repairs to the bike weren’t too bad, but if you factor in all new gear, and medical bills this crash costed me close to 10 grand.   This means that this year, I won’t have the funds to do much traveling to other race clubs.  Unless they keep letting me work all the OT I want.  Time will tell.  Mean while, it’s off to party tonight, see my race family and talk smack for this coming season!!!
