Another one day event at San Ysidro Trials Area, I really do love that place. There is just so much to do there. I got a later start heading there on Friday am. I really like to get there before too many other show up. That way I can grab one of my favorite areas to park.. by that I mean level.
As usual the first thing upon arrival was go walk the loop and all the sections. This way when I get on the bike later, I have an idea of what things I should go practice.
I was thrilled to Scott out there on Sat. He got some advise on how to walk the sections, what to think about, and we practiced a few things later.
For this round I moved back down to Novice, as the sections were much harder than last month. I had a great day, even though I made some really foolish moves that cost me the podium.
Scoring in the afternoon is always a great time. I thought it was a rather tough one, but I heard it was one of the easier ones.
Matt and Curtis thinking about how to proceed.
Overall it was a great weekend with only one hitch… Poor Sable got attacked by another dog, I’d love to say it provoked but it wasn’t. Lelu just snap, grabbed her by the back and started to shake her. I was so stunned that I didn’t move as fast as Steve. She was very lucky that there was only one small puncture on her side, her red vest took the brunt of it, there were 6 holes in it. Needless to say, I’ll not be trusting that dog ever again. Sable got over it much faster than I did.
