I was bummed to miss out on the banquet, but I wasn’t going to miss any events!!!
I headed out to San Ysidro early on Friday. Not as early as I wanted, but I was having a hard time getting my act together during the week. Also, I was going to be dry camping, so I wasn’t as keen on going that many days without a shower. Turns out not many wanted to camp out there either. It was just a handful of us there. Even Sat am there wasn’t too many people around. I was wondering if we were going to have to group score. I was surprised at how many showed up at the last minute!!! Yippie!!!
The sections were quite good, I had a good time riding. It was even better to watch the ones in the afternoon. Sable wasn’t thrilled with the ride over to the section I was scoring, but she got over it. I enjoyed watching it.
The MWVTA event was a few weeks later. Had a great time at this one too. I rode up a class so I could get some practice in. I only managed to ride on Sat. Sunday I woke up super sick. It wasn’t from drinking, either.
I think it was the new med that they put me on in Feb. It sometimes makes me shaky if I’m not eating enough. That was definitely the case for this weekend. It also could have been some bad olives from the night before. I use those and pickles for salt intake when it’s hot out. It wasn’t that hot, but I had dressed way to warm on Sat. I was super over heated when we were done.
No matter, I had a fantastic time riding with Jason and Elo. Jason was a huge help. I figured out a few things and rode much better than I thought I would. Ron had some great but tricky sections for the weekend.
I was able to get some pictures of people riding on Sunday.
