The last track day and race day for the season….
The track day was awesome. I actually rode again, went out with the students in the beginner group to help a few riders out. I really enjoy doing that. I’m going to miss it next year. On the other hand, it will be nice to not have to worry about finding time to work on things for the club.
I really hope that they keep doing the potlucks at the end of the track days. Some of the best times I had during the season. Along with watching the flat track racers afterwards.
We were all worried about the next day since it was calling for rain starting on Saturday evening. I kept hoping that it would end up pushed back a day, it often happens here, when storms move in slower than predicted. We didn’t get lucky this weekend. The rain blew in sat evening, with a huge show of force. It took out a few pop ups that were really well tied down. Shame. We tried to out wait the weather, but it was so cold and windy that most of the racers didn’t want to ride. I didn’t blame them.

One of the better banquets I’ve been to. It was a bit on the intimate side, but still a great deal of fun.
