The next weekend were Track and Race days for SMRI, I enjoy being there and was hoping to get out on the track, but it was just too HOT for me. I also wasn’t happy with the tires that were on the MT03, there were still the original ones that came with the bike. Far from ideal for track time, I had gotten by with them the first year since they didn’t have many heat cycles on them. The last time I rode on them, it just wasn’t comfortable on them. They were too flat, the short of it was that they just didn’t inspire confidence.
The weekend went really smooth, not many crashes. That is the best part. A good time was had at the end of the day at the awards ceremony.
I did get some dirt biking in as well. I took a dirt bike noob out for his first taste of single track. He’s hooked.
I can’t believe how over grown the trails are! At times it’s hard to see them.
I picked up some new patio furniture. Picked it up cheap on line but spent a wknd sanding and repainting it all to look good.
I spent a couple of my off days cleaning up the yard. I’m finally starting to win the war on the weeds that showed up with all the rain this year.
This is what she does when the swamp cooler kicks in.
