I am glad we still got to have this weekend in, but there are more fires going on around us, there hasn’t been any rain at all, so I’m sure that the June and July event aren’t going to take place. (Update: June is already CX due to fire restrictions)
It looks like I did convince Geneva that Trails was the way to go. She bought Micha’s bike last weekend so she will be joining me at this one. That’s great since than Sable will have a friend in the trailer with her when we are out riding.
I didn’t really do much better at taking pictures, I did get a few in the upper section that I was scoring. I’ll see about stealing a few of Geneva’s pictures… esp the one of my “ugly” shirt. I like it but, it seems to bring out some strong reactions. People either say they love it or hate, nothing in between. I like it, it keep me cool and from getting sunburned.
Geneva did great for her first event! Curtis was a saint for minding for both of us. Overall, I was pleased with how I rode, as usual I had some issues the first time around, but got better on each loop. I still made some dumb mistakes, but it keeps getting better.
Scoring for the afternoon sections was fun as usual. It was a long loop, we had to ride a ways out but I find that to be a lot of fun.
