Round #2, I’m guessing that we should make this one good since it might be one of our last ones for awhile. Due to the lack of rain that we have seen… actually not seen. It is so much drier than I have seen if for quite some time.
I love being out at SanYo! I took an extra day off so I could get there early. For a change I was actually ready a couple of days early. With the new stickers on the whole bike and some TLC, it really looks like a new bike. There are few more things that I would like to clean up or replace to really make it look fresh.
I wasn’t as on top of getting ready for the weekend, as work kept getting in my way… drat. So I had to go get propane on Friday am instead of heading straight out to SanYo. I really wanted to get practice in on Friday. I really need it. So getting there early and getting set up was a priority.
This has been my most recent place to park out there, but I think it’s time to move to a different one just to keep things fresh. 🙂
I spent most of Friday, just getting some “seat time” in. It was nice to just explore a bit more. I also spent the later part of the day following Curtis and Wendel around while they clerked the lower sections. I always learn a lot watching them ride the sections. Plus they are always explaining things to me as they go. It’s just awesome.
I’m still horrible at taking my phone with me out on the loops. So I don’t have any pictures of anyone riding. I promise that I’ll work on that.
In all I was pretty please with how I rode both saturday and sunday. I didn’t get onto the podium, but it isn’t about winning for me with the trials. At least, not yet. I just don’t get enough time in to practice it to be good at it. It’s something that I want to work on this year. With that in mind I signed up for the Ryan Young clinic in April. I’m really looking forward to it.
