I still have some things from 2018 I’ll post up about over time. I figured that I shouldn’t make 2019 wait on those. I’ve got some really fun rides and adventures planned for this year. I’m off to the Sonora Rally again this year. Only I won’t be driving the chase truck for the Pearson Brothers, this time. They had decided to travel light this time… They didn’t come right out and say it, but what that really meant was they weren’t taking any of the women on the trip. Thanks to Jim, I found a way around that. 😛 I signed up for the Sonora Rally’s Adventure Raid. It’s not racing, but I get to ride following the race from Bivouac to Bivouac. It’ll be an adventure! I’m the only bike that is signed up, there are 5 UTVs also doing this.
I’ve spent the week getting things ready. Jim helped me out with mounting up the new tires on the Tiger. Even gave me an idea on how to make it go smoother. I just about dropped the bike 4x trying to get it on the center stand while it was on the lift. So I used a jack to lift it up… It never occurred to me before he mentioned it, that I could use the jack and then put down the center stand. Yea, can you say blonde? Oh well. It got even more exciting putting the wheels back on when I caused the bike to slip on the jack. I hadn’t placed it so that I could get the center stand down. But after it slipped and I had to work at getting it stable before I could put the front wheel back on. It was scary, I was stuck wondering where my InReach was, since it seemed like I was going to get pinned under if for a few minutes.
